Korean - A poor man who became a stone buddha. For his public-spiritedness in collecting money to build a bridge, Zo was rewarded by the King of Heaven who arranged for him to be reborn as a princess to the empress of China. If he had not used some of the money to buy himself a pair of sandals, he would have been born a prince. The Emperor, fearing that the child was an evil spirit, had it killed and Zo's spirit became a stone buddha protecting his descendants. On occassion, identified as Zo-Han-Zun.
