North American - A sun-god. An Algonquian hero. Husband of Wabund Annung. He was one of the quadruplets born of the primordial being who died in childbirth. He represented east; the other three were Kabibonokka (north), Kabun (west) and Shawano (south). He chased away darkness, heralding the day. In some accounts he is equated with Michabo. At times, known as Wabun, Michabo, Michabo, Lord Hare, Lord of the Day, Manabozho, Messibizi, Messon, Missabos, Missiwabun or Great Hare.
