Vesta

Roman - The goddess of fire, the hearth, the household. One of the 5 Appiades. A sacred fire in her temple, brought from Troy by Aeneas, was never allowed to go out and was tended by the Vestal Virgins. She is depicted with a bowl and a torch. In some references, identified as Vesta, Greek Hestia, Greek Hestia, Fornax or Fornax.
