Vessantara

Buddhist - An Indian prince. Son of Sanjaya. Husband of Madri. His father banished him for giving away all his possessions but that did not stop him from giving his children to the mendicant, Jujaka. His father ransomed the children and lifted the ban on Vessantara. He was regarded as the last incarnation of the Buddha before Siddhartha.
