Hindu - Daughter of Kushadhvaja. As a practising ascetic, devoted to Vishnu, she felt defiled when the demon Ravana, seeking to marry her, touched her hair, and she burnt herself to death, only to be reborn as Sita. In that incarnation, she was the wife of Rama and was abducted by Ravana. In some references, referred to as Vedavati, Sita, Sita, Lakshmi, Seeta, 'furrow', Javanese Sinta or Tulsi.
