Japanese - A Shinto creator-god. One of the 5 Separate Heavenly Deities. He was created from reeds from the primaeval waters and grew six branches, each of which produced a male and a female deity. The last pair were Izanagi and Izanami from whom many other gods were descended. The other five pairs were Omodaru and Ayakisone; Opotonodi and Opotonobe; Tunogupi and Ikugupi; Upidini and Supidini; Kuni-toko-tachi and Toyokumono. Sometimes known as Umashiashikabihikoji, Umashi-Ashi-Kabi-Hiko-Ji or Umashi-Ashi-Kabi-Hiko-Ji.
