Norse - Son of Kari. This young boy was one of the Njalssons trapped in the house of his grandfather, Njal, when it was attacked by forces led by Flosi who burnt the house to the ground. He refused to leave his grandparents who put him between them as they lay quietly on their bed waiting to be overcome by the smoke and flames. In some lore, occasionally identified as Thord.
Norse - Head groom of Bjarni. An argument with Thorstein about the result of a horse-fight led to blows and Thord struck Thorstein with his staff, cutting open his head. When later Thorstein sought an apology, he was rebuffed so he killed Thord. In some references, called Thord.
