Ten Suns

Chinese - Offspring of Ti Chün and Hsi Ho. The suns lived in the giant tree, Fu Sang, in the east. They took it in turns to cross the sky each day, accompanied by their mother. When they decided to appear in the sky all at the same time, the earth was in danger of being burnt to a cinder but was saved when the archer, I, shot down nine of them. Occasionally called Ten Suns.
