Buddhist - A devoted son. An incarnation of the Buddha. Syama devoted his life to caring for his aged parents who were blind. He was killed by a king who was so impressed with Syama's devotion that he took the care of the old couple upon himself. Syama was then restored to life by Bahusodari who had given birth to him.
