Sugriva

Hindu - A monkey-god, king of monkeys. Son of Surya. Husband of Ruma. His brother, Balin, deposed Sugriva but Hanuman sought the help of Rama who killed Balin and restored Sugriva to the throne. In gratitude, Sugriva helped Rama in his attack on the fortress of Ravana who had abducted Sita, the wife of Rama, building a bridge of floating stones from India to Ceylon. Also referred to as Sugriva, Nala or Nala.
