Sha Ho-shang

Chinese - A priest. He was originally a minister at the court of the Jade Emperor but was sent to earth in the form of a man-eating monster when he broke a crystal bowl. When Kuan Yin lifted the punishment placed on him, he mended his ways and was one of those who accompanied Tripitaka on his journey to India to learn the Buddhist doctrines. He is depicted wearing a necklace of skulls. In some references, referred to as Sha Ho-shang.
