Hindu - A king. Son of Savarkama. He was reputed to be very lucky whereas Nala, himself a king in disguise, had been so unlucky that he had lost his kingdom by gambling. Rituparna employed Nala as his charioteer and one story says that he exchanged his luck for Nala's skill as a charioteer so that Nala was able to win back his kingdom. Occasionally identified as Rituparna.
