Prisni

Hindu - A primaeval earth-deity. Wife of Rudra, some say. Mother of the Rudras. In some accounts she, rather than Diti, was the wife of Rudra and mother of the Rudras (Maruts). This deity is envisaged, in female form, as a dappled cow and, in male form, as a dappled bull. Identified as Prisni, Diti, Diti, Aditi, Didi, Didi, Prasni, Prasni, Prithivi, Prithivi, Dyava-matar, Prthivi, 'earth', Greek Gaea, Plateia, Prsni, Prsni, Pr(a)sni, Pr(a)sni, 'speckled' or 'speckled'.
