Polites

Greek - Son of Priam and Hecuba. He was killed by Pyrrhus at the fall of Troy. Occasionally referred to as Polites.
Greek - A friend of Odysseus. He was stoned to death at Temesa for raping a maiden and his ghost, known as The Hero, haunted the spot and could be appeased only by the yearly sacrifice of a maiden. This state of affairs ended when Euthymus, in love with one of the girls due to be sacrificed, drove the ghost into the sea and it was never seen again. Occasionally called Polites.
