Panchajana

Hindu - A sea-demon. He angered Krishna by abducting the son of Sandipani and the god dived to the bottom of the ocean and killed the demon. Krishna took the conch-shell in which Panchajana had lived and used it thereafter as a trumpet with which he killed evil-doers. In some lore, occasionally identified as Panchajana.
Hindu - The divine conch-shell trumpet of Krishna. This was formerly the home of the sea- demon of the same name who was killed by Krishna. Also known as Panchajana.
