Ottar

Norse - A man disputing land ownership. Needing to prove his ancestry in a dispute with Angantyr over a piece of land, Ottar asked Freya for help. She turned him into a pig and rode him to the house of Hyndla, a sorceress, who told him the names of all his ancestors and gave him a magic drink so that he would not forget them. As a result, he was awarded the disputed land. Also called Ottar, Ottarr Heimski, Ottarr Heimski, Ottar, Otter, Otter or Ot(e)r.
Norse - A lover of Freya. In some accounts he is disguised as the boar Hildeswm. Sometimes referred to as Ottar, Ottarr Heimski, Ottarr Heimski, Ottar, Otter, Otter or Ot(e)r.
