Nun

Egyptian - A god of the primitive waters. Consort of Naunet. Progenitor of Atum (Ra). He represented, with Naunet, the depth of the primitive water and is depicted as a man up to his middle in water, supporting the sun. In some versions, Nun is identified with Ptah. In another aspect he is regarded as the southern ocean, source of the Nile. He is depicted with a frog's head or as a baboon or as a man holding up the solar bark. In some accounts, referred to as Nun, Niu, Niu, Nu, Nu, Ch'ih Nü, Nua or Nua.
Muslim - A sea-monster. Sometimes called Nun, Niu, Niu, Nu, Nu, Ch'ih Nü, Nua or Nua.
