Mithras

Roman - A god of soldiers. He was worshipped as a bull-god by men only who asserted that the marrow and blood of the dead bull became, like Christ's body and blood, the bread and wine of the sacrament. Initiates to the cult took part in the sacrifice of the bull and were required to pass through at least seven stages.
