Jack the Giant Killer

British - A hero of children's stories. He killed many giants including Blunderboar and Cormoran whom he lured into a pit and decapitated and became the servant of one of King Arthur's sons. He was able to perform his feats of giant-killing by using a cap that gave him great knowledge, a cloak that rendered him invisible, shoes that allowed him to travel at great speed and a wonderful sword. In some accounts, he married the daughter of a duke. Also commonly called Jack the Giant Killer.
