Geoffrey of Monmouth

British - A 12th C. Cleric and writer. He was said to be an arch-deacon of Llandaff, later bishop of St Asaph. His Historia Regum Britanniae lists details of all the British kings from the time of Christ. In it he deals with much of the Arthurian saga and, in Viti Merlini, he deals with the life of Merlin. Sometimes called Geoffrey of Monmouth.
