Four Diamond Kings

Chinese - The rulers of the 4 realms of the Buddhist paradise and guardians of Buddhist shrines. These deities are given as the Landbearer (Mo-li Ch'ing), who guards the east; the Far-gazer (Mo-li Hai) who guards the west; the Well-Famed (Moli Shou) who guards the north and the Lord of Growth (Mo-li Hung) who looks after the south. The Taoist version lists these deities as Chao, Li, Man and Wen.
