Curtius

Roman - A Roman hero. An oracle had foretold his fate and when a chasm opened up in Rome, he jumped into it, fully armed and on horseback, to save his country. At times, referred to as Curtius.
Roman - A Sabine hero. In the war between Rome and the Sabines, he had some success in driving the Romans back but, fleeing from a counter-attack led by Romulus, his horse plunged into a pool and he barely managed to escape. Sometimes known as Curtius.
