British - Daughter of King Lear. Sister of Goneril and Regan. Her two sisters, each of whom received half of their father's kingdom, drove Lear mad and only Cordelia succoured him. She raised an army to depose her sisters but was killed in the attempt. In some accounts Cordelia is regarded as the mortal equivalent of Creiddylad. On occassion, referred to as Cordelia, Cordeil, Cordeil, Cordeilla, Cordeilla, Cordelie, Cordelie, Cordula or Cordula.
