Chao Yen

Chinese - A young man whose life was extended. Chao Yen was due to die before the age of twenty but, advised by Kuan Lo, he approached two men seated under a tree playing draughts and gave them meat and wine. One of them altered the date on the young man's official document so that the figure nineteen became ninety. The men were the gods of the North and South Poles. Sometimes referred to as Chao Yen.
