Cairbre Caitcheann

Irish - A usurper. Father of Morann. He had his son, Morann, thrown into the sea as a baby but the boy was rescued and reared by Maon the smith, who later sold the child back to his father. He and two others, Buan and Monad, proposed a feast to which they invited all the local chieftains and nobles, whom they then killed, and Cairbre took over the throne of Tara. He was said to have the ears of a cat.
