Irish - A king of Connaught. He adopted Neidhe mac Adhna as his son but the boy later satirised the king, who resigned when blisters appeared on his face. Neidhe took the throne for a while but then repented and offered the throne back to Caier. Caier died on the spot and a fragment of the stone slab on which he stood flew up and killed Neidhe. Occasionally called Caier.
