North American - A medicine man of the Iroquois. He had snakes for hair and it is said that he could kill merely by his angry glance. He killed the wife and daughter of Hiawatha but later joined him in uniting the five tribes of the Confederacy. Hiawatha placed the sacred deer antlers on Atotarho's head and the snakes fell off, dead. Occasionally identified as Atotarho, Atotaho or Atotaho.
