Arad Ea

Mesopotamian - A Babylonian ferryman who carried the dead across the Sea of Death or the River of Death, Khubur. A descendant of Utnapishtim. He carried Gilgamesh or Izdubar to see Utnapishtim in the Island of the Blessed. On occassion, identified as Arad Ea, Ardi-Ea, Ardi-Ea, Arad-Ea, Greek Charon, Greek Charon, Adad-Ea, Charun, Mahaf, Tempon Telon or Turnface.
