Amphilochus

Greek - A seer. Son of Amphiaraus and Eriphyle. Brother of Alcmaeon. One of the Epigoni. His mother persuaded his father to join the Seven against Thebes and Amphiaraus instructed his sons to kill her if he failed to return. They did so and Alcmaeon was hounded by the Furies in punishment. Amphilochus escaped punishment but fought at Troy and was killed. Referred to as Amphilochus.
Greek - A nephew of Amphilochus. Son of Alcmaeon and Manto. He quarrelled with his half-brother Mopsus, and each killed the other when they met in single combat. On occassion, identified as Amphilochus.
