Amasis

Mesopotamian - In Babylonian stories, the site (Mount. Ararat), where Noah landed his ark. Sometimes referred to as Amasis.
Greek - A king of Egypt. He advised Polycrates to discard something he valued to avert possible ill fortune. Polycrates threw a valuable ring into the sea but found it a few days later in the stomach of a fish. In some references, called Amasis.
