Aesacus

Greek - A prophet. Son of Priam and Alexirrhoe. He interpreted Hecuba's doom-laden dreams as meaning that her baby, Paris, would cause the death of his family and the downfall of Troy. He fell in love with Hespera who died from a snake bite when running away from him. In remorse he tried to drown himself and was changed by Tethys into a diver bird. At times, identified as Aesacus.
