Aban

Irish - Son of Cormac and Milla. When he expressed a wish to become a priest, his parents put him in chains, which miraculously fell off. As a boy, he restored to life a calf that had been killed by a wolf. When his uncle, Inbhar, took ship to Rome without him he walked on the waves to catch the ship. He is said to have lit a lamp merely by breathing on it, restored to life a newly dead queen and vanquished many monsters. He established several churches and monasteries where wolves protected the flocks. Identified as Aban, Abban, Abban, Abban mocu Corbmait or Abban mocu Corbmait.
